The Giant of mining to welcome the new Finance Director

One of the giant mining company Anglo American, United Kingdom headquarter, announced the appointment of John Heasley as the new Finance Director in July.
This came after the announcement that was made on a press release that Stephen Pearce is retiring. The appointment of John came after the company decided to introduce a new initiative of sustainability. John brings his sustainability skills to the company.
Furthermore, Chief Executive of Anglo American, Duncan Wanblad described his feelings about the new appointed Finance Director he said he is happy that the company will be welcoming John Heasley because he brings financial, strategic, commercial, and sustainable mining with technology expertise to the company. He further stated that he is delighted that Stephen Pearce will continue to perform his role until John joins the company.
John Heasley brings wide range of experience to Anglo American, and the company cannot wait to welcome him, stated Stuart Chambers Duncans’ colleague, who is also happy that John will benefit the company with his expertise. He further said, the company is thankful that Stephen has been part of the team. Stuart is the Chairman of Anglo American.
John Heasley is 43 years old and part of the Weir group PLC, one of FTSE 100 listed global engineering companies that provides mining technologies to the mining industry. John holds a BA in Accounting and Economics, from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom, and he is a non-executive director and Honorary Treasurer of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. This means that his appointment was guided by the status he upholds and the benefits he will bring to Anglo American.
His remuneration package is in Euros which is a basic salary of £810,000 per annum, and the company will contribute 15% towards his pension, which is in line with the Anglo American’s rates in the United Kingdom.
Anglo American is founded in 1917, in Johannesburg, South Africa. It specialises in copper, nickel, platinum, diamond, iron ore, steelmaking coal, manganese and polyhalite.
John Heasley will join Anglo American before the end of 2023.
